How We Review
Every frame on this site goes through a structured review process. We look at screen quality, resolution, app experience, photo sources, storage options, build quality, ease of use, and value for money.
We read real user reviews, study manufacturer specs, and compare features across every major brand. Our goal is to give you the honest information you need to make a smart purchase.
Why We Do Not Score Frames
We used to publish a star rating. We stopped, because a single number hid the thing that actually decides this purchase: what the brand charges you after you buy. A 4.5 tells you nothing about a $39 a year plan.
Instead every frame carries the facts that change the answer:
- Ongoing cost: what the brand charges after purchase, and what stops working if you stop paying.
- Storage: how much you get, and whether it lives on the frame or in someone else's cloud.
- Offline behaviour: whether the frame still works with no internet.
- Who sends photos: an app, an email address, or a shared account.
- Lifecycle: whether the model is still made, and what replaced it if not.
Editorial Independence
We have not run these frames in a lab, and we do not claim measurements we did not take. What we do is read the manufacturer's own documentation, track what each brand charges after purchase, and re-check every model against live listings so a discontinued frame never sits here as a current recommendation.
No brand pays for a positive review. If a product is bad, we say so. Our reputation depends on honest recommendations.
We update our reviews regularly as brands release new products and update their software. Prices and features change, and we keep our information current.
