The Aura Walden is Aura's 15-inch frame. It is made to hang on a wall or sit on a mantel. We did not test it in a lab. This page is built from Aura's published specs.
The screen is 1600 by 1200. That is a 4:3 shape, the same shape most phone cameras shoot, so photos fill the screen with little cropping. Pixel density is lower than on the 10-inch Carver. You sit farther from a 15-inch frame, so that matters less.
Aura includes a wall kit in the box. It also works on a shelf or a desk.
Aura keeps the same app and free unlimited storage across all its frames. Add as many photos as you want. Invite your whole family to send photos. The Walden pulls from Google Photos and iCloud, like the smaller models.
You can set how often the photo changes in the app.
The Walden is not a cheap frame. It sits in our over $200 band. What you get for that is free unlimited storage and no plan to pay for, ever. There is no touch screen. It does play video, but clips are capped at 30 seconds and run silent until you tap the bar. For photo slideshows on a big screen with nothing to pay later, this is the one.
