The Frameo 10.1-inch frame shows you do not need to spend a lot to get a good digital frame. It sits in our under $100 band, and it is the lowest priced Wi-Fi touch screen frame we recommend. We did not test it in a lab. This page is built from the Amazon listing, because the maker, MaxAngel, has no product site.
It runs the Frameo app, which several budget brands share. Family members download the app, enter a code, and start sending photos. The touch screen lets you swipe through them.
The 1280 by 800 IPS screen has the same pixel count as frames in higher price bands.
Built-in storage is 32 GB. The listing says that holds over 80,000 photos. There is also a microSD card slot. You can load photos from a card, and videos longer than the app's 15-second limit. There is no cloud backup, so keep your originals on your phone. If the frame dies, photos stored on it are lost.
Setup is short. Plug it in, join Wi-Fi, and pair the Frameo app on your phone using a code from the frame.
