KoKonna 7.3" Color E Ink Frame Review
The only battery frame on Amazon we can verify. E-paper means it runs for months without a cord, and the trade is a small, slow, muted screen.

The full review
The KoKonna is a 7.3-inch colour e-paper frame that runs on a battery. That is the whole point of it. There is no cord, so you can hang it on a wall with no outlet nearby, or stand it on a shelf across the room from a socket.
Aura quotes three months of battery life for its own e-paper frame. KoKonna quotes up to three years from a 5000mAh cell, which only holds if you change the photo rarely. Change it daily and you will charge it far more often. Either way you charge over USB-C and hang it back up.
E-paper is the trade-off. The screen has no backlight, so photos look like a print on paper instead of a glowing panel. In a bright room that looks lovely. Colours are muted next to an LCD frame, and the screen redraws slowly, so this is a frame for one photo at a time rather than a rolling slideshow.
Storage is free and there is no subscription. You send photos from the app, and family can send too.
Buy this if you want a frame somewhere there is no plug. If you want a bright, fast slideshow, buy a normal LCD frame and put it near an outlet.

How we put this together
Screen, storage, app and connection details come from KoKonna's own documentation rather than the Amazon listing. Subscription terms and availability were last checked in August 2026. We have not run this frame in a lab, and we do not claim measurements we did not take.
