The full review
The Nixplay 15.6-inch frame is built for big spaces. At over 15 inches, it grabs attention on a wall or mantel. The Full HD 1920 by 1080 screen is sharp and bright.
Like the smaller Nixplay, this one plays video clips with sound. On a screen this size, family videos look even better. The 15-second video limit still applies, but it is enough for highlights and short moments.
Wall mounting works in both landscape and portrait orientation. The frame comes with a detachable stand too, so you can switch between desk and wall as needed. This flexibility is a nice bonus.
The app connects to Google Photos, Dropbox, Facebook, and Instagram. You build playlists and control everything remotely. The motion sensor saves power when nobody is watching.
At $250, this is one of the pricier frames on this list. And you still get only 500 MB of free cloud storage. The Aura Walden offers a 15-inch screen for $100 less with unlimited free storage. But the Aura cannot play video.
If video playback matters to you and you want a large screen, the Nixplay 15.6 is the way to go. If you only need photo slideshows, the Aura Walden saves you money.
